MoveMeAway.com is looking for a VB.NET Programmer Analyst to join the Team in Montreal.

Job Description

The Programmer Analyst position requires: the performance of system analysis, programming, testing, and trouble shooting of complex applications. You will design moderately complex applications or portions of a complex application. In this role you will:

• Perform operational-level programming and systems analysis for processes in existing applications
• Address moderately complex production problems in a timely manner
• Design and enhance multiple portions of existing applications
• Provide coding, testing, and debugging of moderately complex application modules
• Provide and direct input for implementation planning and conduct quality assurance testing on system changes
• Develop and maintain application technical specifications and maintain program libraries, user’s manuals and technical documentation
• Partner with business users to create the training materials (user manuals, help files) and documentation as needed
• Lead and supervise projects, Associate Programmer Analyst staff, and assist production support staff as required

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or diploma in computer science or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years in a similar position
• Experience in application design and development using VB.NET
• Experience with MS SQL Server, stored procedure, and packages
• Experience in production support with strong analytical skills to identify and address production issues
• Fully experienced in code management tools and code merges
• Experience with technical documentation, MS Visio, MS Project, SharePoint, TFS and VSTS
• Previous experience as a programmer analyst for legacy financial systems an asset
• Experience in Visual studio and .NET for WEB application development Framework 3.5 or higher an asset
• Knowledge of JavaScript an asset
